The all new Avril Earl Dance & Theatre Arts Centre

In September 2016 The Centre moved to new larger premises in the St Andrew's Community Centre.

The Centre can now offer classes in 3 spacious, modern and well equipped studios.

The building was officially opened by the Bailiff of Guernsey, Sir Richard Collas, on Friday 9th September 2016.

The new premises gives us more than 5000 square feet of space, of which 3500 square feet is dedicated teaching areas.

As well as offering the largest dedicated dance and drama studios in the Channel Islands we can now also offer a much improved Dance Shop and a comfortable and welcoming waiting area for parents.

The Lesley Blondel Studio

This is our largest space and features a sprung Harlequin Cascade floor, Harlequin fixed and portable ballet barres, mirrors and a powerful and flexible sound system which includes a headset radiomic for teachers. The space benefits from high ceilings and plenty of natural light.

UPDATE - May 2017 - Check out The AEC Theatre Project page

Miss Avril taught for Mrs Blondel when she was Principal of the Lesley Blondel School of Dance. Miss Avril took over from Mrs Blondel in 2006, but she remains at active member of our ballet faculty.

The Hazel Rowe Studio

This is a multi-purpose space, but is ideal for small classes, private tuition, drama and singing. It features Harlequin Cascade flooring, Harlequin fixed ballet barres, mirrors and a flexible sound system.

Hazel is well known in dance and drama circles and was Miss Avril's first dance teacher. Hazel also encouraged Miss Avril from a young age to pursue her interest in drama.

The Margaret Gaudion Studio

Our second largest teaching space can be used for all types of dance and drama classes, but is ideally suited to ballet as it has the longest length of ballet barres. It also features a sprung Harlequin Cascade floor, Harlequin fixed ballet barres, mirrors and a flexible sound system.

Margaret was Principal of her own school until 1990 when she passed it on to one of her teachers, Lesley Blondel. It was during Margaret's time as Principal that Miss Avril joined the school.  She remains a member of the organising committee for the Guernsey Dance Festival
